I found a brief moment today to place my main rune set outside to charge. I recently acquired this set — somehow I lost one of the runes from my former main set, and so it’s important to me that they begin with a fresh start.
Charging Your Runes
Whether you've made your particular rune set or purchased it (though, I do believe making your own set is a more effective way in establishing a closer connection with them), it's important for Rune Magicians to charge their runes. This can be done in the sun, the moon, and/or by chanting the rune circle.
Tending to Grief and Honoring Family
But today I want to let you all know that I may take a break from posting to the channel for the next week or so. My dad was admitted to hospice last Friday evening and has been quickly declining. It’s likely that he is already in the later stages of his transition.
As someone who sees death from a shamanic perspective, I know that we never lose those we love; the conversation takes place in a different way. Nonetheless, it’s important to give oneself time to mourn the loss of the physical being that was once present with us.
This means that I had to cancel our Ostara Celebration, which I was looking forward to hosting. And I know those who had signed up were looking forward to it too. But there will be other opportunities to gather and more celebrations to come.
